IVD Vision - Privacy Policy and Terms of Use

Last updated: July 5, 2026

Important notice: IVD Vision is an assisted app for visual comparison and documentation. It is not a medical device and does not provide diagnosis, treatment recommendations, or validated laboratory results. The user must interpret the result according to the manufacturer's package insert/instructions for use and with support from a qualified professional.

1. Who we are

IVD Vision is provided by Bioinpy to support documentation workflows, visual comparison, and organization of records related to in vitro diagnostic (IVD) tests.

2. Purpose of the app

The app allows users to select tests, record sample identifiers, capture or import images, visually compare control and test images, track reading times, and generate PDF reports.

The app does not replace the manufacturer's package insert, local protocols, quality controls, confirmatory tests, clinical evaluation, or interpretation by a qualified professional.

3. Data that may be processed

Depending on how it is used, the app may process:

4. Camera, gallery, and images

The app uses the camera to capture images of tests and to read barcodes when this feature is available. The user may also import images from the gallery when choosing to do so.

Reference images may be created from photos captured by Bioinpy and may receive neutral AI-assisted adjustments, such as framing, background removal, lighting normalization, or noise reduction. These adjustments are not intended to alter diagnostic characteristics.

5. Manufacturers and trademarks

Manufacturer names, product names, and references are used only for technical identification. Unless expressly stated, IVD Vision is not affiliated with, sponsored by, validated by, approved by, or endorsed by the manufacturers mentioned.

6. Catalog and server connection

The app may download catalogs, reference images, and other technical data from Bioinpy servers. Part of this content may be stored locally on the device to improve operation and allow faster use.

7. Local storage

The app may locally store session information, downloaded catalogs, cached images, capture masks, preferences, and consent acceptance. This data remains on the device and may be removed by clearing the app data or uninstalling the app.

8. PDF reports

Reports generated by the app may contain images, sample identifiers, the result entered by the user, test data, date, time, notices, and disclaimers. PDF sharing occurs only through user action, using the system sharing features.

9. Ads and Google AdMob

The app uses Google AdMob to display ads. Google AdMob may use the device's IP address, advertising identifiers, approximate location information, device data, and other signals to estimate the country, prevent fraud, measure performance, and display ads according to its policies.

Google's practices can be reviewed at: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

10. Basis of use and consent

By accepting the initial notice, the user declares that they understand the app's limitations, the need for interpretation by a qualified professional, the technical use of images, and the display of ads through Google AdMob.

11. Limitations of liability

IVD Vision must not be used as the sole basis for diagnosis, treatment, definitive clinical screening, or medical decision-making. The user and the responsible professional must follow the manufacturer's package insert/instructions for use, applicable standards, local protocols, and regulatory requirements.

12. Children and minors

The app is not directed to children. It should be used by authorized users and, when applicable, by qualified professionals or under appropriate supervision.

13. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes in the app, legal requirements, third-party policies, or operational practices. The update date will be shown at the top of this page.

14. Contact

For questions, requests, or contact regarding privacy and app operation, please email bioinpy@gmail.com.
